Jackson plans a tornado drill Tomorrow…
As part of 2010 Severe Weather Awareness Week for Missouri, the city of Jackson will hold a tornado drill at 1:30 tomorrow afternoon. A siren will sound for three-minutes. Jackson fire chief Jason Mouser said the drill is a reminder that all individuals and businesses should have a severe weather plan in place, along with a weather-alert radio and an emergency kit containing a flashlight, prescription medicine, bottled water and a first-aid kit on hand. Mouser says Missourians have experienced power outages, ice storms, flooding, tornadoes and even minor earthquake tremors. The families who were prepared, recovered quicker.
